When Should You Consult a Vastu Practitioner? Before Buying, Building or Moving In

Vastu is a traditional Indian system of spatial thinking, concerned with orientation, layout and the way a space is used. The practical question is often not whether to consult, but when. The earlier a consideration is raised, the more options remain open.
1. Before buying a property
Assess before the decision becomes expensive to change. Orientation, entrance position and overall layout are difficult to alter later.
2. After purchase, before interiors
Kitchen position, furniture plans and storage can be considered before anything is built or installed.
3. Before moving in
An empty home is easiest to refine. Small decisions about room use can be made before daily routines settle.
4. Already living there
Many homes can be reviewed in place. The focus is on practical optimisation, such as how rooms are used and arranged.
5. During renovation
Review planned changes before work begins, so adjustments are made on paper rather than on site.
At any stage, correction does not automatically mean reconstruction. Many observations lead to modest, practical adjustments.
